Explore Upcoming SPACES Show “A Color Removed” at Guide to Kulchur

Sat 2/17 @ 6-9PM

Michael Rakowitz’s A Color Removed project will be on view at SPACES’ gallery from July 13-September 30, when he’ll fill the gallery with crowd-sourced orange objects to reflect on ideas of safety: who gets to be safe, where and why.

A series of events and conversations is leading up to the show, including one this weekend as part of the INCITE Tape Collage series at bookstore/event space Guide to Kulchur. Rakowitz, writer/Guide to Kulchur founder RA Washington, Jeremy Bendik-Keymer, and SPACES executive director Christina Vassallo will be on hand.

“Please bring orange items you’d like to displace, your internal map of Cleveland, and your ideas for how to activate the supersaturated orange display at SPACES. We are going to make this event a live think-in for all who come,” they promise.

The event is free and open to all.
