Cleveland Print Room Celebrates 5 Years With an Open House and Darkroom Workshop

Fri 2/23 @ 5-8PM

Sat 2/24 @ 11AM-4PM

Come on down to the Cleveland Print Room to celebrate its fifth year anniversary with a grand re-opening of its community darkroom. It’s a great time to learn about the programs CPR sponsors and the opportunities it offers to do photography the old-fashioned way, with film, paper and chemicals.

Drop in any time for a tour of the darkroom and the chance to try making a Photogram — an image made by placing an object on photosensitive paper and exposing it to light. You’re invite to bring a handful of interesting little objects or use some from their boxes of thingies. Learn about the benefits of membership, and the exhibits, lectures and classes they sponsor. There will be refreshments!

It’s free and open to all.

If that sounds exciting to you, the very next day there will be a class in film and darkroom basics to get you started or refresh your memory about the darkroom processes you left behind years ago. It’s $125 for CPR members, $135 for non-members and limited to eight students so go register now.
