Fantasy and horror are among the most popular genres of books and films, and of course they attract visual artists as well.
Ikon Images in Canton, a gallery devoted to illustration, will be presenting work by three well-known illustrators/sculptors working in those genres.
Pyre: The Art of Ritual features the work of sculptor Marc Opdycke (who will be in attendance at the opening Sat 1/20), and illustrators Jim Pavelec and Allen Williams.
“Each artist has their own ritual for bringing forth their innate essence of who they are as creators,” says the gallery. “The exhibition seeks to explore the artists ritual and journey to artistic fruition, and ultimately, theirs and our satisfaction.”
It runs through Fri 4/13.
