Preterm Invites Women’s Rights Supporters to Storytelling/Zine Making Workshop

Mon 1/22 @ 6-8PM

Preterm’s monthly community nights are intended to make people more aware of the services women’s health clinic provides, including abortion, and to arm them with facts about issues that impact women.

The next one sounds like it will be a lot of fun and includes a hands-on element.
“Learn, Listen, Create: Storytelling and Zine-making” features a storytelling workshop that will focus on how to effectively tell a story about your own life, including your abortion story.

After that participants will get to create a page for a zine that focuses on reproductive freedom and access to a full range of health care for women, including abortion without judgment. Preterm will put together and distribute the ’zine around Cleveland.

Shout Your Abortion, a program that gives people an outlet to share their own stories and help de-stigmatize abortion, is sponsoring this evening. It’s free and open to anyone who supports a woman’s right to make her own choices about her body and her life. And there will be snacks!

Also there’s parking in the Preterm parking lot so you don’t have to walk past the sour-faced old men who are usually protesting outside. You know you’ll be having more fun than they ever do.
