It May Be Cold But There Are Lots of Warm Places to Go When You Walk All Over Waterloo

Fri 1/5 @ 5-10PM

The highlight of this month’s Walk All Over Waterloo, when it’s most likely going to be too cold to do much walking (temperatures below zero are projected), is a show of new work by Cleveland-based artist Jon Gott called Elementary Incandescent Service Module: A Sevenfold Path to Non-Self, happening at Waterloo Arts. Gott’s media span ceramics, painting, drawing, collage, sculpture, video and photography.

He says the new installation is “intended to invoke a process of enlightenment.,” which “can refer to an ultimate form of reality or simply engagement in the activity of learning.”

In addition, Brick Ceramic + Design will be holding its members sale from 6-9pm with food, DJ Val spinning records and the chance to buy yourself something handcrafted locally with your holiday money. And the show of work by Bridget Ginley, curated by the Maria Neil Art Project, continues at Six Shooter Coffee.
