If you don’t have anything to do on a Monday night, stop down at the Music Box Supper Club where Cleveland’s sextet Seafair will be playing a launch party/concert as part of a new Cleveland Sessions series.
While it’s billed as a resource to discover new music and new bands locally, Seafair are pretty known quantity. They hit the scene with a bang about six years ago, amassing a strong following and releasing a powerful album called The Querencia in 2015 before taking a short hiatus from mid 2016-mid 2017.
With keyboards, cello and violin providing a symphonic panorama and guitar, bass and drums contributing the relentless drive beneath Chayla Hope’s wailing vocals, this is a little band with a huge sound — and we’re looking forward to what they do next.
Admission is just $5, so take a chance. Come early at 5pm to be part of the filming.
