Singer/songwriter Kate Voegele hit the local music scene in the mid ’00s when she was just a teenager from Bay Village, making a splash with her mature songwriting and self-assured vocals. By the time she graduated from high school in 2005, she’d released two albums and started to attract a national audience through MySpace (remember that platform, the YouTube of its day?), which signed her to its offshoot label in 2006.
But her biggest break came when she appeared in a recurring role on the series One Tree Hill in 2008-2009, as a character who was also a musician so she got to perform her music. She’s continued to record and tour and maintain a loyal fan base since then. Her most recent album was 2016’s Canyonlands.
She’s got a new single called “Shoot This Arrow,” and she’s hit the road with fellow One Tree Hill cast member, singer/songwriter Tyler Hilton, performing as a duo. They arrive at the Music Box Supper Club this weekend, with Leslie DiNicola opening.
Tickets are $20 in advance, $25. The club is saying they believe the show will sell out though, so it’s smart to book them in advance.
