Jill Andrews’ music reflects her east Tennessee upbringing, fueled by American roots music such as country, folk and bluegrass. She first became known for her work with Southern folk rock ensemble the Eerybodyfields. She left that band in 2009 to launch a solo career that took in an even wider range of sounds which she has explored on her debut EP and two albums, 2011’s The Mirror and 2015’s The War Inside. Currently, she has a new duo called Hush Kids with Peter Groenwald.
She’ll be performing at Peninsula’s G.A.R. Hall as part of its Voices in the Valley series. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door.
