Remember

Think of all the things you love about Cleveland, Akron & our region this time of year. I guarantee it’s the people.

People like our fellow Americans in Puerto Rico, still suffering three months after the horrific hurricane Maria nearly wiped out the entire island. Good people like Cleveland artists Eileen Sheehan, Linda Zolten Wood, Hector Vega and Richard Romero are raising money through artist donations, and you can help. You’ll recall Cleveland guitar wizard Neil Zaza went solo 25 years ago to tour the world and become a YouTube sensation; he’s back with One Silent Nightand CoolCleveland’s got the interview.

Photog and CoolCleveland editor Anastasia Pantsios has been shooting stars for decades, her photos have been exhibited at the Rock Hall, and she successfully mounted a major exhibition a few weeks ago at Loftworks. Now her book, Girls to the Front: 40 Years of Women in Rock is available, just in time for the holidays.

And don’t forget to ShopLOCAL for your holiday gifts, and we’re gonna make it easy for you: CoolCleveland t-shirts are now available for 60% OFF, while supplies last (as they say). And it’s not too soon to score your Bowie tickets for our shows in January: his heroic Berlin Era on Fri 1/12 and his entire life from birth to Blackstar on Sat 1/13. You won’t forget now, will you? –Thomas Mulready
