Contemporary Youth Orchestra Is All Systems Go

Sat 12/9 @ 7PM

Band camp was never like this: The Cleveland Contemporary Youth Orchestra uses high-school age students to perform orchestral pieces, with concerts that range from top-40 pop-rock arrangements (like the Pat Benatar catalogue) to modern classical.

For December’s show “Go,” at CSU’s Waetjen Auditorium, the ensemble performs works from modern composers that are on the rapid-energy and staccato end of the scale, including works by Mason Bates, Clint Needham and Ralph Vaughan Williams. Expect a few returning CYO alumni as guest soloists.

Tickets range from $20-$30 with a special student admission rates.
