Cirque Dreams Holidaze Is Your Wake-Up Call at E.J. Thomas Hall in Akron

Tue 12/12 @ 7:30PM

This may be remembered as the year Ringling Bros/Barnum & Bailey Circus went off to slumberland. But “cirques” are going strong. Cirque Dreams is just one of the assorted troupes (Cirque du Soleil being the most famous) that center on mesmerizing acrobatics, costumes, music and mime rather than performing animal acts.

Coming to E.J. Thomas Hall on the U of Akron campus, Cirque Dreams Holidaze takes on the sights/sounds of the season, as it showcases an international cast of contortionists, aerialists, clowns and other artists, breaking out in reindeer regalia and bells to accompany Christmas music and impersonating live ornaments on a surreal tree.

Tickets begin at $35.
