Preterm Community Night Explains How to Identify Victims of Human Trafficking

Mon 12/4 @ 6-8PM

There’s been a lot of talk about the issue of human trafficking, one of those rare things that most people, regardless of where they are at on the ideological spectrum, agree is bad. But unlike the opioid crisis, it can be hard to care because it’s not always entirely clear what constitutes “human trafficking.”
Supposedly, this form of slavery is all around us, affecting people of all ages, races, genders and countries of origin.

If it leaves you scratching your head, come to a learning session at Preterm Women’s Clinic. At their next monthly community outreach evening, Angella McMahan, a sexual assault nurse examiner at University Hospital Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital, will talk about how you can identity a victim of trafficking.

The event is free and open to all. There’s free parking in the Preterm parking lot.
