One of the things that Art House, the nonprofit community arts center in Cleveland’s Brooklyn Center neighborhood, does is expose people to some of the world-class professional artists who live in the area.

Their next free Community Culture Night features Cleveland-based video/sound/performance/installation artist Kasumi. Originally a musician, the chameleon, exploratory artist has branched out into creating both short and feature- length experimental films, looping electronic sculptures, motion graphics and animated gifs, immersive virtual reality pieces and fine art prints made via glitch and data moshing.

Known for her embrace of new technologies on the service of art, she’s a Cleveland Arts Prize and Guggenheim Fellowship winner, and her work has been shown at many film festivals that specialize in cutting-edge work. She’ll undoubtedly have plenty to share about her new groundbreaking projects.

It’s free; registration is not required.
