Maltz Museum Raises Money for the Kosher Food Bank

Sun 11/19 @ 2PM

You probably had no idea there was a kosher food pantry in the Cleveland area. But there is. The Cleveland Kosher Food Pantry feeds 4,000 people every month with a weekly open pantry, a weekly delivery at fourneighborhood centers to families with children, a monthly mobile produce market, and delivery to 1,200 seniors at 10 locations.

To support its work, the Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage is presenting a benefit concert featuring some of the area’s outstanding classical musicians including harpist Yolanda Kondonassis who heads the harp department at the Oberlin Conservatory, her husband Cleveland Orchestra trumpet player Michael Sachs, sibling cellists Sharon and Keith Robinson, Jason Vieaux who heads the classical guitar department at the Cleveland Institute of Music, in-demand freelance violinist Jinjoo Cho, and the eight-cello ensemble Locacelli.

They’ll perform music by Bach, Albeniz, Faure, Hovhaness, Gershwin and others. Tickets are $150.
