Fri 11/10 @ 8PM

Sat 11/11/ @ 8PM

Sun 11/12 @ 4PM

Apollo’s Fire, Cleveland’s baroque orchestra, takes on an ancient theme, love and loss of love, in its next program “50 Ways to Leave Your Lover.”

Featured performers include tenor Nicholas Phan (pictured), along with violinists Johanna Novom and Evan Few, viola de gamba players René Schiffer and Ann Marie Morgan, and luternists William Simms and Charles Weaver. Phan will perform lute songs by John Dowland, Thomas Morley and Henry Purcell, while the musicians provide backing and instrumental interludes.

They’ll perform Thursday evening at First United Methodist Church in Akron, on Friday and Saturday at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Cleveland Heights and on Sunday at Rocky River Presbyterian Church. On Friday, there will be an “Afterglow” party where concertgoers can enjoy some refreshments and meet the musicians; it’s free with your ticket. Tickets are $10-$72.
