KSU Music Students Perform Program of Whimsical, Wacky Opera Selections

Sat 11/18 @ 7:30PM

Sun 11/19 @ 3PM

Join the students of the Kent State Opera for their fall production The Whimsical, Wacky World of Opera at the Wright-Curtis Theatre in Center for the Performing Arts.

It sounds like the perfect beginners’ introduction to opera, with a variety of short — and mostly light — selections from operas such as Leonard Bernstein’s Candide, Gioachino Rossini’s Italian Girl in Algiers, Henry Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas, and Gilbert and Sullivan’s Princess Ida, among others.

Tickets are $15 for adults, $13 for seniors and KSU faculty; $8 for non-KSU students, and free for fulltime KSU undergrads.
