Great Lakes Science Center’s Turkey Tech Gets the Kids Out of the House for Some Fun Learning

Fri 11/24 & Sat 11/25 @ 10AM-5PM

Sun 11/26 @ noon-5PM

With the kids out of school for a long weekend, you’re probably looking for ways to keep them from playing video games for 10 hours at a stretch. The Great Lakes Science Center has the answer, with another of its seasonal themed special activity weekend, this one called Turkey Tech.

It’s filled with workshops, demonstrations and hands-on activities that should keep them engaged — and learning something too. Learn how chemicals work in the kitchen! Learn the physics of flight science to discover whether turkeys can fly! Help drop eggs from the top of GLSC’s atrium! It’s all free with regular admission.

If you’re not tired out from all that experimenting, stick around to catch one or both movies of the double John Candy feature in the DOME Theater. Uncle Buck screens at 6pm and Planes, Trains and Automobiles screens at 8pm. It’s $10 for a single movie or $9 per movie for both.
