Columbus-based vocal ensemble Fior Angelico was founded 11 years ago by its artistic director Matthew Bester to perform early music. Their repertoire of medieval and Renaissance music is heavy on religious music, which was the dominant music of the time.
So it’s appropriate that the group will be coming north to perform at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, the seat of the local Catholic diocese. Its program is called “Spanish Music for Lamentation & Rejoicing.”
It’s free and there is free parking in the Cathedral garage.
