The Cleveland Metroparks Celebrates First People Day in North Olmsted

Sat 11/18 @ 11AM-4PM

There has been much talk of replacing Columbus Day in October with some kind of “Indigenous Peoples Day” celebrating the American Indian (smarter one would be repurposing Thanksgiving; the Osage Nation did that first anyhow). But First People Day has already been a tradition at the Rocky River Nature Center of the Cleveland Metroparks.

Be there in the heart of the trails and nature, amidst live wildlife specimens and dioramas. Hikes, demonstrations, lectures and activities will feature the expertise of the Lake Erie Native American Council, as well as rangers, historians and naturalists.

Admission is free, and all ages are welcome.
