Cleveland-based blues musician Travis “Moonchild” Haddix is making a tradition of his birthday shows. The guitarist/vocalist, who turns 79 this year, is one of the beloved veterans of the local scene, as well as regional festivals, with his sturdy, crowd-pleasing blues, pop and soul mix.
Like many African Americans from the Deep South, Haddix migrated north from Mississippi in the ’50s, settling first in Milwaukee and later moving on to Cleveland where he’s lived for almost 60 years and become a regular in area clubs.
Come celebrate with him at the Music Box Supper Club. Admission is $10.
