Sustainable Cleveland 2019 Summit Brings Together Citizens for Sustainability

Wed 9/27-Thu 9/28

The annual Sustainable Cleveland Summit has been the centerpiece of Cleveland’s Sustainable Cleveland 2019 project since it was introduced nearly decade ago. It allows people from various organizations and neighborhoods to come together to share what they have been doing and learning, particularly relating to the focus topic of the year (2017 is the Year of Vibrant Green Space).

The two-day summit at Cleveland Public Auditorium will feature keynote speaker Mark Tercek, president/CEO of the Nature Conservancy and a reception on the first day. The second day will offer the chance for participants to interact with each other, talking about what’s been accomplished during the Year of Vibrant Green Space and make plans for 2018 — the Year of Vital Neighborhoods. Attendees will have the chance to weigh in on updating the Cleveland Climate Action Plan and prepare for the 50th anniversary of the infamous June 1909 Cuyahoga River Fire.

It’s open to all; register here. Day one is $20; day two is $30.
