SoulCraft Woodshop Holds Grand Re-Opening Events at Its New Location

Fri 9/8 @ 6-9PM

Sat 9/9 @ 1-6PM

Soulcraft Woodshop is yet another opportunity for Clevelanders to learn an artistic craft, joining such studios as Zygote Press, Morgan Conservatory, Brick Ceramics and Praxis Fiber Workshop. Soulcraft is a community woodworking shop that offers classes, a fully equipped work space and a gallery to show the work members have made. Whether you are a learner or an experienced woodworker, Soulcraft offers the chance to take your skills to the next level.

Soulcraft moved from the Hildebrandt Building near Clark Avenue to the Osborn Industrial Complex at 54th and Hamilton, a sprawling building filling up with new creative businesses.

There they’ll be hosting a (re) grand opening celebration in two parts. On Fri 9/8 @ 6-8pm, you can stop in for food and drinks, see the furniture created in the woodshop in their new gallery and have a look at the new work space.

On Sat 9/9, there’ll be free activities all afternoon @ 1-6pm when you can try out some of what they offer including woodworking, 3D printing, laser cutting and electronic soldering, as well as take a tour of the facility.

Both events are free and open to the public.

I would like to come and visit you shop. I have been interested in making things and this could help as a fun hobby. I read about you in the article 4/18/14 in the Plain Dealer and kept the paper until present. I was intrigued then and still am. At that time I needed a leg made for my granddaughters rocking horse and now would love to repair the toy for my great-nephew.
