Photographer Amber Ford Shares Images of Immigrants & Refugees at The Temple-Tifereth Israel

Sat 9/16 @ 7PM

Amber Ford, a 2016 Cleveland Institute of Art graduate, is an up-and-coming young photographer who trains her camera on marginalized communities. Specifically she has recently looked at the immigrant and refugee community to discover how they live here in Cleveland.

Her exhibit, By Force & By Choice, will be on view at an event at The Temple-Tifereth Israel in Beachwood. It starts with a wine and cheese reception at 7pm, following by a panel discussion at 7:30 on “Loving Our Neighbors as Ourselves,” featuring Ford, Rabbi Richard Block, president of Global Cleveland Joe Cimperman and Tali Merder, director of volunteers and donations at Us Together, which serves the immigrant/refugee community. Guests are invited to bring gently used winter clothes, gift cards, or bus passes to their event where there will be suitcases to collect them.
