The Summit Food Coalition is a new organization that is dedicated to growing awareness of and interest in healthy locally grown food in the Akron area and connecting local growers and producers with consumers.
The group is now hosting its first annual fundraising event called Savor the Summit ay HiHO Brewing Co. in Cuyahoga Falls. HiHO will be providing the beverages to go with the food (presumably all local!) and the Gage brothers will be providing the music.
At the event, the first Summit Food Coalition Local Food Hero Award will be presented, and there will be a wine and beer raffle. Tickets are $45 in advance, $50 at the door.
