Make a Fall Flower Foray at Geauga Park District

Sat 9/23 @ 10-11:30AM

Don’t let the beautiful early fall weather, with its array of signature purple and gold flowers, pass you by.

Head to the Geauga Park District’s Orchard Hills Park in Chesterland for the Fall Flower Foray, a leisurely stroll on the paved paths of a former golf course, now overrun by native plants, to see such seasonal flowers as goldenrods, sunflowers, coreopsis, lobelia and the yellow-bloomed prairie dock which can grow as high as six feet. Naturalist Judy Bradt-Bartnhart will talk about the rock formations on the way and the folklore surrounding some of the flowers.

It’s free and no registration is required. In addition, this hike is wheelchair and stroller accessible. Fore more information, call 440-286-9516 or go to geaugaparkdistrict.
