Literary Cleveland Mixer at Euclid Tavern Focuses on Writers Under 25

Tue 9/26 @ 6:30-9PM

Literary Cleveland shines the spotlight on some of the area’s younger writing talent at its upcoming mixer, 5 Under 25, at the Happy Dog at the Euclid Tavern.

In partnership with Twelve Literary and Performative Arts Incubator it will present five younger writers, chosen by soliciting area educational institutions and writing programs.

Each of the writers —Angelo Maneage, Sara Shearer, Angel Cezanne, Raja Freeman, and Alysandra Dutton — will have five minutes to read from their work, which covers fiction, nonfiction, playwriting, poetry and journalism, starting at 7:30 pm. The rest of the time is for mingling with other writers and readers.

“Lit Cleveland’s 5 Under 25 event is opportunity for the city’s established writers to mix and mingle with up-and-coming talent, and for the public to hear the creative voices of younger people in our city,” says Literary Cleveland founder/director Lee Chilcote. “We’re excited about this addition to our fall lineup.”

Tickets are $8 or two for $15; members and people under 25 are free.
