It’s time for another contra dance at the Chagrin Falls Township Hall.
Like most social/community dance events, it starts with a dance lesson to make sure that newcomers feel comfortable and have a chance to pick up tips from old-timers.
Not that contra dancing should intimidate anyone. It’s akin to square dancing in that movements are clear and repetitive and there’s a caller telling you what to do next. It’s something people of all ages can do and you don’t have to bring a partner because everyone dances with everyone else before the end of the night. Bring the family; it’s fun and easy for all ages.
Admission is $10 for adults, $8 for youth, $25 for a family.
