Coit Farm Market & East Cleveland Library Celebrate Water With Events at the Market

Sat 9/23 @ 10AM-1PM

Any Saturday is a good day to visit the Coit Road Farmers Market, which is open year round in its dedicated building from 8am-1pm. But this Saturday is an especially good day to go, as the market hosts a celebration of water from 10am-1pm, presented by the East Cleveland Public Library.

It features all kinds of activities to make people aware of how fortunate we are to have a constant source of clean water. They’ll bring kids’ books about water and the environment and a watershed map where visitors can mark where they live. There’ll be hands-on art projects led by Linda Zolten-Wood founder of the Collinwood Painted Rain Barrell Project, and the chance to learn about watersheds and rain barrels and steps anyone can take to protect and conserve water.

There’ll also be health screenings by community health workers from Cleveland State University, and market manager Kevin Scheuring will be providing health snacks. It’s free.
