Cleveland’s Lost Brook Fuels Music and Brew Fest at Platform’s Production Facility

Sat 9/23 @ 1-11PM

Walworth Run was a brook that once flowed from West 65th Street near Clark over a three-mile course to the Cuyahoga River. Obviously, it’s long gone, gradually filled with trash and eventually built over; portions of it form a sewer under what’s now Train Avenue.

But now it’s giving its name to a new festival called Walworth Run: Music and Brews Along Cleveland’s Forgotten River, taking place at the Platform Brewery production facility on Train at Vega.

It will feature beers from almost a dozen breweries including Platform, Cleveland’s Terrestrial Brewing and Willoughby Brewing Company, as well as other craft breweries from the rest of Ohio, Vermont, North Carolina and San Francisco.

The music lineup is a who’s who of area artists including rootsy rockers the Jack Fords, soul/rock ensemble Samfox (pictured), hip-hip influenced Jul Big Green, folk rock group Maura Rogers & the Bellows, the solo project of guitarist Holden Laurence of The Modern Electric, and half a dozen more.

Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the door.
