Akron Quartet Bad Hounds Debuts New Release at the Beachland Tavern

Fri 8/11 @ 8:30PM

Akron rock quartet Bad Hounds cites both old-time influences (Bob Dylan, the Beatles) and more contemporary ones (Cage the Elephant, the Vines,Tame Impala). With two guitarists/singers/songwriters/frontmen — Alexander Gallo and Tyler Deming — trading off vocals, they say “the thick groove perfectly compliments an enticing hook which brings their highly emotional sound into a pure experience.”

Okay. You be the judge. The band is dropping their debut album, Several Times in Separate Places, this week with a release show at the Beachland Ballroom. It’s been a while coming; they were promoting its release back in 2015, and the final result, they say, is “a compilation of works recorded over a three-year span.”

Sol Fox and the Mason District perform as well. Admission is $7 in advance, $10 at the door.
