Sustainable Cleveland PechaKucha-Style Event Addresses Vibrant Green Space at the Music Box

Thu 7/27 @ 5:30-8PM

Sustainable Cleveland 2019 is a ten-year program to get local citizens thinking about ways we can work together to make the local environment healthier. Each year has been dedicated to another aspect of sustainability; 2017 is the Year of Vibrant Green Space.

For the past several years, one of the events Sustainable Cleveland has hosted around the topic of the year is a PechaKucha-style evening, where experts in different areas show 20 slides and talk about each for 20 seconds.

This year’s event again takes place at the Music Box Supper Club. Presenters include Kyle Dreyfuss-Wells, CEO of the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District; Maggie Fitzpatrick from Refugee Response; Green City Growers’ Lisa Franklin; Whitnye Long Jones of Let’s Move Outside; Alison McKim with Angie’s Garden; Vel Scott, proprietor of Vel’s Purple Oasis; Trust for Public Land’s Shanelle Smith; Kelly Barrett from the Cleveland Botanical Garden’s Green Corps; Cleveland Metroparks’ Judith MacKeigan; and Jacqueline Bon of the Morgan Conservatory.

There will be light snacks and a cash bar available. The program is free.Register here.
