There’s always something new to look at during Walk All over Waterloo, when the galleries in the Waterloo Arts District open their collective doors to visits. This month will see the opening of Intentional Risk: Paintings by Cindy Smith at Article and Bryon Miller [Name: Pending] at the Maria Neil Art Project.

You won’t want to miss Miller’s show. Known primarily to many as a gallerist — until recently he had a gallery on Waterloo — he’s also a photographer who is now focusing on his own work. This is his first gallery solo show in more than ten years.

There’ll also be plenty of held-over shows to catch too if you didn’t happen to Walk All Over Waterloo last month or attend the annual Waterloo Arts Fest June 24, including Satellite Gallery’s Pillars of Creation and Waterloo Art’s annual juried exhibit, in display in three Waterloo venues: Waterloo Arts, Praxis Fiber Workshop and Brick Ceramic + Design.

Be sure to stop in Dru Christine Fabrics & Design to visit CoolCleveland columnist Dru Thompson and maybe pick up something to spice up your wardrobe, and Blue Arrow Records which will celebrate Feline Friday from 5-7pm, where you can make donations to the Waterloo Alley Cat Project, pick up cat merchandise and pet the store kitties.
