This year the Medina County Fair is an amazing 172 years old. Why, that’s how long the Browns go between Superbowls.

A popular event of agriculture and livestock (the fair, we mean), it’s got lots beyond the many farm exhibitions and midway. Attractions include pig races, scavenger hunts, an “Eyes of Freedom” tribute exhibit to military service, hay-bale decorating, a beer garden, the Rough Truck Contest, and competitive hot-dog eating and fiddle playing.

In addition to music tributes to Neil Diamond and the Beatles, country music stars Gary Allan and the Brothers Osborne perform (with a separate grandstand admission).

Gate tickets are $6 for ages 12 and over, $3 for ages 2-11. Those under 2 are free. Special discount days are set aside for veterans and seniors.
