Hometown Jazz Trumpeter Dominick Farinacci & Accordionist Julien Labro Join Forces for Nighttown Show

Thu 7/27 @ 8PM

It seems like we’re always writing about another hometown appearance by jazz trumpet player Dominick Farinacci, an alum of Tri-C’s noted high school jazz program who went on to be a member of the first jazz studies class at Juilliard and base his busy career in New York.

But with Farinacci, it’s never the same old same old, and each time he’s in town he does something a little different and plays with a different configuration of musicians. For his latest return trip to Nighttown, he’ll be joined by accordion player Julien Labro from Hot Club of Detroit, who will undoubtedly bring a little 1930s gypsy jazz flavor to the music.

He’ll also again feature a vocalist he discovered and has introduced to Clevelanders before, Shenel Johns. They’ll be ably supported by three musicians he’ll be bringing from New York: pianist Dan Kaufman, acoustic bassist EJ Parker and drummer Lawrence Leathers.

Tickets are $30.
