Hingetown Will Vibrate to Cuban Sounds at Ohio City Stages

Wed 7/19 @ 7:30-9PM

With Cleveland enjoying an influx of Cuban arts and culture, expect a big and enthusiastic crowd at the next edition of the world music series Ohio City Stages in Hingetown. The featured musical act is El Septeto Santiaguero, formed in 1995 to perform Cuban son music. Its eight members, most of whom play percussion, produce a big, lively and rhythmic sound that is sure to have hundreds dancing at the intersection of Church and W. 29th where the large stage is set up. If you aren’t up for dancing , bring your lawn chair and set it up in the closed-off street to soak up the sounds.

The event also features food trucks and a beer garden; the Transformer Station stays open until 9 if you want to stop in and see their current show THEM! featuring the work of six photographer/musicians. It’s free.
