Justin Roberts is a big deal in the world of children’s entertainment.
Roberts has been making smart, upbeat pop music for kids for more than two decades. He got his start writing songs for his students when he was a pre-school teacher, and by 1997 he had recorded his debut album Great Big Sun, which took his music to a much larger circle of kids than a single classroom could contain. He’s got more than a dozen albums now with a new one called Lemonade (no relation to the Beyonce record) and has travelled the length and breadth of the country many times with his Not Ready for Naptime Players.
They’ll be at Cain Park’s Alma Theater. Tickets are $15 in advance, $18 at the door.
