Some people think bats are creepy, and they’ve been associated with the underworld and with vampires. But playing have an important role in the ecosystem, performing many useful functions.
Want to know more and maybe see some live bats close up? (They really will not suck your blood!) Come to Summit Metroparks Adell Durbin Park in Stow and join park naturalists for Bats: Creatures of the Night. They’ll be installing nets to try to catch some bats for observation and data collection. It’s free. Call 330-865-8065 for more information.
