The six-dinner Farmers Market Dinner Series kicks off will one that should delight those non-carnivores who are always asking, “Why should I pay all that money for a special chef’s dinner when I can’t eat half the courses?”
They’ll be able to eat everything at this all-vegetarian dinner prepared by Karen Small at the Flying Fig. The five courses, each paired with a wine, include things like toast with horsey goat cheese, pickled beets, six minute egg and local microgreens, green corn fritters, buckwheat cavatelli, and a peace and blueberry crumble peach with salted almond and honey ice cream . And all the dishes showcase ingedients from local providers.
