Celebrate Hispanic Culture at the Fiesta Latina on Public Square

Sat 7/15 @ 1-8PM

If you don’t get to the west side of Cleveland often, you might not know that the city had a thriving Hispanic community, most of it Puerto Rican (and for any stray Trumpsters out there, they are Americans — U.S. citizens — so no one is “sending them back” anywhere). You can learn all about it at the upcoming Latino Arts & Culture Celebration and Puerto Rican Parade Fri 8/4-Sun 8/6.

And you can get a taste of it right now at Public Square, at the Fiesta Latina in the Square, which will celebrate the various Latino cultures in the area (again, expect most of it to focus on Puerto Rico). There will be music, DJs, dance ensembles and a “Doors to my Barrio” exhibit featuring painting on reclaimed doors. There’ll be participatory activities too including salsa lessons and hands-on crafts for kids. It’s free.
