For those who don’t relish the long drive out to Blossom Music Center to hear the Cleveland Orchestra, for the past several summers there’s been Summers@Severance.
The three programs kick off this week with a crowd-pleaser: an all-Beethoven evening featuring two of his symphonies — No. 1 and No. 5, along with his Overture to Egmont. Come early at 5:30 for happy hour or stay late for a few drinks and light food outdoors on the front terrace of Severance Hall, where DJ Brad Petty will be spinning soft house and electronica after the concert.
