“American Classics” Take Center Stage at This Month’s Walkabout Tremont

Fri 7/14 @ 5-10PM

The theme for this month’s Walkabout Tremont is “American Classics.” What exactly that means is open to interpretation, although they’re promising “all-American food and drink special” at participating neighborhood bars and restaurants and some classic cars on display. Dr. U.R. Awesome will also be on Professor Avenue, the main drag where vendor tents are set up and outdoor entertainment is happening, blowing his record-setting soap bubbles from 7-8pm outside the Treehouse.

Stop inside the Treehouse as well where this month’s art exhibit will feature the work of CoolCleveland photographer Elisa Vietri (whose work is pictured above), featuring her offbeat takes on cityscapes and people. It’s only one of the many displays on view at local businesses. Check out one of the former art neighborhood’s few remaining galleries, Doubting Thomas, where ex-Cleveland punk rocker Valerie Seeley (now living in Columbus) and minimalist artist Norbert Ziebold collaborated on a show intriguingly called The Bubble People Find the Moontrees.
