The Waterloo Arts Fest is back to celebrate the arts and the community that has grown up in North Collinwood, driven by the increasing number of artists moving to the neighborhood and the new businesses and galleries that have opened on Waterloo Road aka the Waterloo Arts District since the catalyst, the Beachland Ballroom, opened in 2000.
The fest now extends a block west of E 156th all the way to E. 161, with multiple stages (more than 40 bands inside and out), booths from local organizations, nonprofits and government agencies (the Board of Elections will be there to make sure you are registered to vote!), artisan and artist vendors, hands-on arts activities right on the street and lots of food.
And you can also go inside to check out the various businesses, see (and make) more art, shop and hear more music. It’s free.
