Veteran Cleveland Poets Bring Their Poetry to the People at Public Square

Thu 6/22 @ noon-2PM

Local writer/journalist/poet Daniel Gray-Kontar and his Twelve Literary Arts Incubator have been staging poetry slams and readings around town in places like the Euclid Tavern. Now he brings poetry to Public Square with three “Poetry for the People” evets this summer.

The first, taking place this week, will feature veteran poets Eris Eady, Damien McClendon, Raymond McNiece, Eric M. Odum and Terry Provost competing to be Cleveland’s poetry slam champion for the day — or at least the poetry slam champion of Public Square. Look for them right next to Rebol shouting over the swash of the splash pad and the gleeful shouts of the wet children.
