PHOTOSTREAM: Rally for Health Care on Public Square by Anastasia Pantsios

Tue 6/27

Although it was announced earlier in the day that the Senate would not be voting on the new “health care” bill before the July 4th recess as expected, citizens gathered on Public Square to express their opposition to a cruel, destructive bill that improves health care access for exactly no one, while listening to speakers and playing “wheel of misfortune” which depicted the multiple bad outcomes the bill would increase.

Once the bill was pulled — for now — Ohio Senator Rob Portman announced he opposed it “as is.” But it’s unclear what tweaking would suddenly make it acceptable to him, so the calls to his office continue (202-224-3353 in D.C. 216-522-7095 in Cleveland).
