MANSFIELD: Just What Is Bill Cosby Trying to Do?

While the plethora of accusations by credible women leads any reasonable person to believe that Bill Cosby is a real piece of excrement, his latest move, after a mistrial in his sexual battery case, is arrogant and manipulative beyond belief. It’s literally mind-boggling.

Cosby is set to embark on a speaking tour to allegedly warn audiences about how easy it is to get ensnared in the criminal justice system and end up getting charged with sex crimes. I guess he could call this the “I Really Didn’t Do It Tour,” or perhaps the “I Wasn’t Found Guilty Tour.”

But while he wasn’t convicted — at least this time — he also wasn’t found innocent; it was a hung jury, the same thing that happens when police are put on trial for killing black males. It’s just that some folks in this country worship celebrity and uniforms to the extent they will never vote to convict, no matter the evidence is presented. While prosecutors have vowed to retry Cosby, it’s almost a foregone conclusion that another trial will result in another hung jury.

But at least killer cops have the decency and good sense to keep their mouths shut after escaping justice. Cosby is too full of himself to do so. But then, he might figure that it’s a clever move to run around the country, ostensibly warning young people, while at the same instance further tainting the next potential jury pool. Chuckleheads will be taken in by this dog-and-pony show and will gush what a brave and wonderful man this alleged pervert is.

“This issue can affect any young person, especially young athletes of today, and they need to know what they’re facing when they’re hanging out and partying, when they’re doing certain things that they shouldn’t be doing. And it also affects married men,” said Cosby spokesperson Andrew Wyatt.

It has to be kept in mind that Cosby, while standing trial for what is alleged to be one incident, he has been accused by over fifty women, so to portray this as an anomaly just isn’t accurate. It’s alleged that he has kept this up for decades. Is he going to tell them that they should seek professional help, something he never did? Or are they just supposed to lie about their sick behavior like he does? The amazing thing is, celebrities, be they in entertainment or sports, can get all of the sex they want from adoring fans. The fact that he elected to drug them to have sex shows what a sick puppy Cosby is.

I can just hear this sanctimonious son-of-a-bitch now, lecturing young people on what they should or should not be doing, just as he lectured poor blacks years ago about their behaviors that kept them poor. But the fact is, he never admitted any personal responsibility for his own cowardly behavior towards women, just as he never mentioned the systemic racism that plays a major role in causing poverty among the poor of his race.

I don’t want Cosby to go to prison; prison should be reserved for those who are a danger to society and have to be isolated, away from decent, law-abiding people they might hurt. And at age 79, this dirt bag is no longer a danger of hurting anyone, at least physically. He should be convicted and perhaps go to prison for one day, just long enough to get a number and then released to spend his dotage with that Stepford Wife of his.

Sure, there are some people that will steadfastly maintain his innocence, but the majority of Americans know him for what he is: A molester.

Thank you Mansfield, fir saying the whole truth. There are so many divergent and tangential views to this case, but the fact remains that 50 women have come forward. Celebrity privilege should not exonerate him. Nor should his wealth.

WOW! I generally agree with your stance, however Mansfield, this time, I beg to differ. Being a woman in the age range of these ‘supposed’ victims (beating the devil out of 70). I am positive that those not already proven to be liars knew what they went to his home, dressing room and hotel room for, ‘A Leg Up’. They did NOT get what they were asking for, career wise, if indeed this at all happened. I’m not saying I’m the brightest of the bunch, but everybody took a pill from somebody that was NOT a doctor? Get TF outta’ here! There’s a rat in the woodpile, as they used to say. I also have thoughts about that as well, but that’s a different discussion, and a long one. Let’s bring this back to me hypothetically, as a ‘seasoned chick’. Having kept quiet after all of these years, I would NEVER, EVER expose myself as a tramp. Especially, knowing that I couldn’t get a dime out of it. There are, I feel, deep pockets behind these folk coming forward.

    Sharon Parker:
You are a real woman and a level headed person. I know you speak the truth, even if no one else agrees with you, I do
only the creator knows the real truth and the two people involved in the act. When Money and power plus a camera
is around, you know there is a script!!!
