Homecoming

Every week is homecoming week around here, whether you have family coming in for the 4th, or you’re celebrating with friends new and old.

David Bowie made NEO his home: his first US concert was here, and a powerful regional fan base propelled him to stardom. Our show this weekend at the BOP STOP covers his entire life & all his music, with a focus on his performances in NEO, including a rare photo exhibit by CoolCleveland editor Anastasia Pantsios. Don’t miss it.

Likewise, CoolCleveland columnist Alex Sukhoy found success in our town, and has now published her first business book, and I was honored to pen the foreword. Rallying to save our hometown Great Lake, citizens will be holding firm with All Hands On Deck. Rib, White and Blue returns to downtown Akron’s Lock 3 Live, and WRUW’s Studio-A-Rama moves to MOCA. CoolCleveland’s own Mansfield Frazier hosts a fundraiser at Goldhorn Brewery to support his candidacy for Ward 7 council, in his effort to make our hometown just a little better. –Thomas Mulready
