Convergence-continuum Stages Short-Run ‘Dream-Like Fantasy’

Thu 6/22-Sat 6/24

The convergence-continuum ensemble rolls out another of its “Tweener” series this weekend, at its Tremont home, the Liminis.

No, they’re not plays for “tweeners,” an alternative name for preteens. Rather, they’re short-run (one weekend only) productions that fill in the spaces between longer runs.

This week, they’ll be staging the world premiere of Catie O’Keefe’s Illuminated, described as “dark humor, satire, and dream-like fantasy [converging] at the Industri-bulb light-bulb company where three lost souls are anything but based in reality. A do-over, a second chance, or maybe a first? For Max, Lucy and Tom it looks like the beginning of a sick and twisted relationship.”

The show is directed by Sarah Greywitt of the Ohio City Theatre Project with Kayla Gray, Michael Muchowski, and convergence-continuum regular Stuart Hoffman comprising the cast. Tickets are $20, $15 for senor, and $10 for students. And the proceeds go to c-c’s Save the Liminis fund, for renovations, now that the group has raised the money to buy the building.
