Rock the Docks, now in its 10th year at Akron’s Springfield Lake, is a gala celebration of everything Northeast Ohioans love about their too-short summer. That means live music and endless food choices al fresco, carnival rides, games, a petting zoo, a wing-eating contest, demonstrations, kids’ activities, including the required face painting and crafts, and of course, fireworks Saturday night. The free pontoon boat rides on the lake, noon-8pm on Saturday and noon-6pm on Sunday, sound like the most fun to us.
Ride wristbands are $15 or 24 tickets for $20. Rides shut down id it rains, although the festival is rain or shine.
