Young People Can Meet Authors & Explore Genres at Lake Erie Ink’s Teen Writing Workshop

Sat 5/6 @ 12:30-2:30PM

Young people in grades 6-12 who feel they have something to say but aren’t quite sure how to put their story in writing have the chance to learn some skills at the Teen Writers Symposium at Lake Erie Ink.

There they can explore various genres of writing as they meet local writers who will share their stories about how they got started and how they learned what they needed to learn. The symposium opens with a panel discussion followed by breakout workshops where teens can pick the brains of local journalist/author Brendan Whitt, Story Club founder Dana Norris, arts & culture journalist Nikki Delamotte and playwright/sci-fi author Charlotte Morgan.

The fee is $10; there are scholarships available. To register go to lakeerieink.org or call 216-320-4757.
