Parma may be associated with polka music to many locals, but Olmsted Falls stakes its claim with the Polka Fest at the Donauschwaben Center.
This German-American cultural society was founded to celebrate the language and traditions of the Danube Swabians ethnic subset in Germany and Austria. While best known for their fall Oktoberfest, the Donauschwaben Center polkas with the best of them with this soiree, featuring the Chardon Polka Band, German cuisine and Teutonic beer.
It is an all-ages event. Tickets are $10 at the door (doors open at 6pm) or $5 in advance.
